What to expect
Profile URLs aren't supported — paste a direct post link with /status/ and the numeric post ID. Search and hashtag URLs won't work either. A post you'd need to sign in to see — protected accounts, followers-only, or deleted posts — isn't supported; that's expected, not an error. For a quote post, use the link of the post that actually holds the media.

Common questions
What can I download from an X or Twitter post?
The media attached to the post: a video saves as an MP4, an animated GIF also saves as an MP4 (that is how X stores them), and images save in the format X serves on the public post. Text, polls, and Spaces audio cannot be saved.
How do I download a video from Twitter or X?
Open the post with the video, copy its link from Share → Copy link or the address bar, paste it on the homepage, and start the download. Preview the MP4, then save it to your phone or computer. It works whenever the post is visible without signing in.
Can I download from Twitter without an account?
Yes. There is no account to create and no app to install — you only need a link to a post that is public. If you would have to sign in to see the post, it cannot be saved.
Does it work for both x.com and twitter.com links?
Either hostname works as long as the URL includes /status/ and the numeric post ID. Copy whichever one your browser or the Share menu gives you — tracking parameters like ?s=20 are fine.
Can I download GIFs from X?
Yes. Animated GIFs on X are stored as short MP4 videos, so the preview shows them as video and you save the MP4 like any other clip.
What quality are the videos?
The MP4 matches the best quality the public post offers. A high-resolution upload saves in high resolution; a lower-resolution one stays as it is. Nothing is upscaled or re-encoded.
Why did a quote post fail?
Use the link of the post that actually contains the media. If the video is in the quoted post, open that post and copy its link instead of the one quoting it.
Do profile, search, or hashtag URLs work?
No. Paste a direct post link with /status/ and a numeric post ID — for example x.com/user/status/123…. Profile pages, search results, and hashtag feeds are not supported.
Why won't my X link download?
Usually the post is protected, followers-only, deleted, text-only, a Space, or the link is incomplete. Open it in a private window to confirm it is public, copy the full link again, then try once more.
