Copy a Threads link on desktop web.

Use your browser address bar to grab the exact post URL for downloading.

    Open the Threads post in your browser

    Go to threads.com or threads.net and open the public post you want to download. Make sure you are viewing a single post page — the address bar should include /@username/post/.

    Copy the address bar URL

    Click the browser address bar, select the full URL, and copy it (Ctrl+C on Windows/Linux, Cmd+C on Mac). The link should look like https://www.threads.com/@username/post/POST_ID.

    Remove extra parameters (optional)

    If the URL contains tracking parameters after ? such as ?xmt=..., you can keep them or delete everything from ? onward. SMDownloader handles both.
