Copy a Threads link on the app.
Use the share sheet in the Threads iOS or Android app to copy the post URL.

Open the Threads app
Launch Threads on your iPhone or Android device and navigate to the public post you want to save.

Tap the share icon on the post
On the post, tap the share arrow icon (usually below the content). This opens the system share sheet.

Choose Copy link
Select Copy link from the share options. On some devices this appears as Copy or Copy URL. The post link is now on your clipboard.

Paste in SMDownloader
Switch to your mobile browser, open smdownloader.com, tap the URL field, paste the link, and tap Extract to download the video or image.

Alternative: Share to browser first
If Copy link is unavailable, share the post to your mobile browser (Chrome or Safari), then copy the URL from the address bar once the post page loads.
iOS tip
After tapping Share, look for Copy link in the top row. If you only see apps, scroll right and tap More to find the copy action.
Android tip
Tap the share icon, then choose Copy link or tap the three-dot menu on the post and select Link to copy the URL.
